Gui Borchert is an award-winning creative director turned writer and director. His career began in graphic design, before he fell in love with writing, then fell in love with directing, and now he juggles all three like a creative tricyclist.

As a director, Gui has created work for brands like Adobe, Hyundai, Squarespace, Microsoft, Puma, Google, Starbucks, Sonos, Pinterest and Foot Locker. He also somehow convinced the likes of Rick Rubin, John McEnroe, Joseph Lee, and Samuel Eto’o to show up on set.

Gui’s work leans on performance and craft, often placing relatable characters in unexpected situations.

He’s been featured in Print Mag’s 20 under 30, AdAge’s 40 under 40, and is still holding out for a 50 under 50. Gui is also a published author of what might be one of the coolest and most useless books ever made.

Least importantly, Gui has voiced a drug dealer in GTA IV and once ran from LA to Vegas by foot. He doesn't have any cavities. He doesn't have a middle name either.

And even though his name sounds French, Gui is actually Brazilian.

I’m on LinkedIn.
But I’m not on Friendster.

Me, circa 2018. As evidenced by this photograph, I enjoy porcelain birds, lamps, windows and the occasional conference call. None of the pictured furniture belongs to me.

Me again, thinking life was going to be all fun and games.

Awarded a Dean's Scholarship for outstanding portfolios at Parsons

A teacher in high school once told me I made the best advertising assignment she had ever seen, and if that’s not a Grand Prix I don’t know what is, but more importantly why are you still reading this?
